Ash (fraxinus excelsior) trees grow in most parts of Europe, where they form really huge trees. Ash burl wood is swirly cream-coloured with burls and very attractive curly structure. Ash is a very hard and dense wood, yet quite flexible. Aged and mature trees develop a nice brown heartwood that resembles olive wood (Olive-ash) Please note: Ash burl may contain small bark areas and show inherent flaws, which are commonly part of this wood and can easily be filled with super glue .
