Ancient glued shutters made of pine with a tapped endgrain bar at each end. These boards are the interior folding shutters from a huge window from a 19th century castle in Brandenburg, these were formerly painted white and are constructed of select fine pine wood. The two interior shutters were connected with three hinges, so they could be folded to half the width of 720 mm and were attached to the window reveal with three sturdy hinges. When not in use, these interior shutters could be folded sideways into the window reveal and locked there.There are a total of 4 of these interior shutters, so the window protected from sunlight with them must have been at least 2.20 x 1.40 meters.The price mentioned here is for a pair as shown.
