From the production of an ancient Berlin manufactory we have an exclusive stock of antique wooden inlay linings, which are certainly unique: the offered inlays come from the company Lorbeer u. Paschke, kunstgewerbliche Werkstätte für Intarsien in Holz, Perlmutter, Schildplatt, Metall etc., at that time located in Berlin SO26 in Waldemarstraße 45 in Kreuzberg. Around 1900, Berlin-Kreuzberg was a center for woodworking in Berlin, in addition to many wood dealers, hardware and tool dealers. The famous Berlin inlay workshop of Ernst Nast with its successor Fritz and his son Heinz Huppke as inlay masters in Naunynstraße. They took over the stock of the Lorbeer and Paschke company around 1950, and these historical works of art originate from this stock. Those inlays strips or lines were produced by the Wilhelm König company in Berlin-Neukölln, which existed until the 1950s, when this form of inlay work was no longer fashionable in furniture making.
