Welcome to Edelholzverkauf, your fast wood webshop for rare and precious woods!

You are looking for extraordinary precious woods, ebony saw cut veneers, mother-of-pearl panels for special purposes? You are looking for precious wood cuttings ?
You are looking for fretboards and fret blocks for knifemakers, stabilized woods, knife blocks, pen blanks, mother of pearl inlays, flute edges, an electric guitar body or guitar neck made of real Honduras mahogany, fretboards, guitar decks, a fretboard made of an unusual wood? We also carry all this in a mostly wide selection!

An individually illustrated large selection of desert ironwood can also be found in my shop, I can usually offer you a choice of many different and individually illustrated knifemaker's suuplies. My selection of materials for knifemakers is huge: the range includes more than 250 different articles; grip scales, knife blocks, rare as well as stabilized woods can be found here.

By the way, we are specialized in custom cutting precise veneers for keyboards of pianos and organs- just ask for a quote!

We have a constantly expanding range of products for woodturners, luthiers and wood collectors. Also for custom cues, guitars, flutes and fly rods we have precious woods. Are you a flute maker, do you turn ball pens or fountain pens? Then you are right here! A wood webshop with rare woods, that delivers lightning fast! My motto may be summed up in one simple sentence:

We have what the others do not have, but we don't have what others already have!

Over many years we have already proven our competence with the sale of precious woods since 1990. In our online shop you can order mahogany wood, ebony and other rare wood species you may never have heard of before. Use our pieces of wood and wooden boards for your decorations, for beautiful knife handles, noble razors, pencils, guitars, flutes and much more. For each piece of wood you will find detailed information about its characteristics and advantages. Shipping is fast and ordering is easy. Try it out today!

And another matter of course, which our precious wood shop has introduced as the first: You see what you buy. Each singular item is usually individually illustrated with several photos! Although you cannot take the wood in your hands and touch it, the photos give you the best possible control over what you buy. We find: Buying wood is a matter of trust, which is exactly why over 22,000 customers have trusted us to date and bought from us again and again: our many customers could hardly provide better proof of our reliability and performance.

So if you are looking for walnut burl, maple burl, laburnum, boxwood, amboina, holly or real Caribbean mahogany, West Indian satinwood, beautiful ebony or perfect snakewood, you have found the right place! On the other hand, if you are looking for beech, meranti, bongossi or teak in quantities and lengths, you are certainly not at the right address here: this is exactly what many well-assorted timber merchants in the area around your home have and sell.

You will also look in vain for the currently still popular wood scraps shed with coloured plastic, whose plastic mass has usually been spiced up with tastelessly bright colours and glitter pigments, and which thus have the appearance and value of a cheap disposable children's toy from China. We do not like these short living items and so not list such inferior scrap.

As a wood expert with 40 years of professional experience, I can certainly offer you what you are looking for! During this time I have worked with very unusual, rare precious woods from (almost) all over the world. I have often procured rare and precious woods for museums, restorers, musical instrument makers and art collectors. The occupation with exotic woods and other materials such as mother-of-pearl, mammoth bone, horn, colored veneers, inlay veins and inlaid bands is therefore part of everyday life here!

So have a look at our constantly updated offer and browse through the treasures virtually, you will surely find what you are looking for! ...And if you don't find what you're looking for, just send us a question via the contact form: in our warehouses you'll find a -zigfold selection of the listed items...

PS. And in case you ask yourself after all the many products in my catalogue: "What is wood anyway? ", please read here what was already said to this question in 1834 : I think this definition is still valid today!
