Amazon Rosewood (Dalbergia spruceana) comes from the Amazon river region, Brazil. Often referred to as Jacaranda do para or spruceana, this species resembles Brazilian Rosewood quite far and is used for similar purposes, though odor and subtle grain characteristics are noticeably different. Its appearance can vary greatly: from deep dark brown, black veined to bluish-violet to green-brown, even yellowish colors. The wood is very dense and durable as all rosewoods, it is very heavy, approx. 900 -1000 kg/m3. The wood is easy to work with and it is an an all-time classic for sophisticated woodwork. This small stock comes from the liquidation of an old timber warehouse.
