Bubinga, aka Kevazingo (Guibourtia tessmannii) comes from Cameroon, Gabon, Central and Equatorial West Africa. Bubinga is of light red to violet colour with purple stripes and shows unfinished a deep red silky gloss. Fine grained and dense, hard and heavy, it takes a high lustrous finish. Primarily used as a veneer for cabinetwork, furniture and panelling. Also used for knife handles and fancy goods. Weight. ca. 800 -100 kg/m3.
