Chilean Laurel (Laurelia aromatica) is a large evergreen tree endemic to central Chilean rainforests, where it grows up to 30 meters high. The tree's bright green leaves and pale bark both contain highly aromatic oily ingredients, which made them valuable to the Incas for producing medicine and spices. The medium hard and light weighted wood shows colours ranging from pale bright grey sapwood to silvery greenish heartwood to darker reddisch greyish tones. Working on this wood is a real pleasure due to its highly pleasant aromatic scent and easy workability! Dimensions: ca. 245 x 60 x 60 mm Sample photos, actual pieces may differ, wood may have been moistened to show real colour!
